Why the name friendly muscles?

Our goal is to put the personal back in personal training, this means every trainer should feel like your best friend. We are here to help you be your best self physically and mentally.


What is the portable gym?

The portable gym is our main feature, a gym on wheels that brings the weights and equipment to you. This means you don't have to worry about having your own equipment and you still get a quality workout from your own home. Click here to learn more about the portable gym.


is it too late for me to start working out?

Absolutely not! Friendly Muscles encourages beginners and elderly to start their fitness journey today. There are tons of benefits to working out such as improved mobility, prevention of chronic diseases, joint and muscle health, cognitive function and mental well being. Our trainers are specialized in working with anyone with previous injuries and elderly for you to get your best training experience no matter who you are.


Why should I train with a personal trainer and what should I expect?

Even though you can start training without a personal trainer there are some risks such as possible injuries, improper form and not being able to reach your fitness goals. These risks come from one thing and that is a lack of knowledge. Working with a personal trainer they are educated in the gym, nutrition and dieting. Our personal coaches are trained not just to help you practice proper form, meet your nutritional goals, and help you reach your perfect body but also to help you grow mentally through encouragement and connection. We want to help you get the best results to live a longer and healthier life.


What are the benefits of dieting?

There's a saying in the fitness industry "Abs are made in the kitchen" and this is true! Not only for reaching your body goals but also building a healthier and active lifestyle. When we develop your personalized plan we make sure you get all the necessary nutrients and macro nutrients to perform your best and be your best. We also provide tips on our friendly muscles blog on amazing budget meals that will help you meet your nutritional goals.


What does the fitness planning process look like?

After you book your FREE consultation we get right to business. You have the option of having a meeting in person or over the phone. During the consultation we go over your fitness goals, previous fitness experience, any previous injuries, any dietary restrictions, your nutritional budget, weight and height, and any preferred services or workout styles. We then discuss your schedule and set realistic timelines for you to be able to meet your fitness goals. After setting up your plan we discuss package pricing and we are willing to make any financial adjustments in order to accommodate.


Why is your home gym better

When we say home gym we are referring to the portable gym. We call it a home gym because that’s what it is, a gym at your house. The beauty of it is that you don’t have to spend any money on the equipment and it comes to your home gym. It’s just a better way to ‘home gym’.

Do you provide a weightloss program?

Ofcourse, during the consultation we discuss your fitness goals. If your goal is to lose weight we will develop a meal plan and workout schedule that will help you lose weight in an effective and safe way.

Are your trainers/physiotherapists certified?

Yes they are, we make sure all of our trainers hold their CSEP Certificate and our physiotherapists are all recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

Am I allowed to invite others to train with me?

Unfortunately no. We design a plan specifically for you and our services are made for one-on-one training. However if you would like to share our services with friends and family we couldn't be happier to train them and help them start their own fitness journey.
